Matteo Schifanoia is a singer-songwriter, singer, crooner, songwriter, lyricist, performer. Born in Italy, lives in Brussels and works between Belgium and Italy. Graduated in jazz singing at the conservatory of Perugia, carries out several projects in the field of jazz, swing, pop as well as his own project of “cantassurdautore” with which he writes and sings his own songs (from ironic, poetic and surreal texts) ranging from pop, to songwriting and theater using different musical styles in particular those of the African-American tradition. His first album of original songs published in 2016 entitled “Lo Scapolo”oand his single “Crisi rock” of 2018 have made a name for himself, as well as his very performative concerts. In his jazz and swing projects he mainly sings the Italian-American crooner like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Louis Prima, the French-speaking singers (mainly of Italian origin like Yves Montand), with an eye to those singers with a more jazz and modern style like Chet Baker and Mark Murphy. He is also the interpreter of all the swing made in Italy. He performs with traditional jazz, manouche jazz and pop band.

Matteo Schifanoia est un auteur-compositeur, chanteur, crooner, compositeur de chansons, parolier, interprète. Né en Italie, vit à Bruxelles et travaille entre la Belgique et l’Italie. Diplômé en chant jazz au conservatoire de Pérouse, il mène à bien plusieurs projets dans le domaine du jazz, swing, pop ainsi que son propre projet oroginal de “cantassurdautore” avec lequel il écrit et chante ses propres chansons (des textes ironiques, poétiques et surréalistes) allant de la pop, à la chanson d’auteur au théâtre chanson en utilisant différents styles musicaux notamment ceux de la tradition afro-américaine. Son premier album de chansons originales intitulé “Lo Scapolo” de 2016 et son single “Crisi rock” de 2018 ont fait parler de lui, ainsi que ses concerts très performatifs. Dans ses projets jazz et swing il interprète principalement des crooner italo-américains comme Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Louis Prima, les chanteurs de langue française (principalement d’origine italienne comme Yves Montand), avec un œil sur les chanteurs plus modernes et plus jazzés comme Chet Baker et Mark Murphy. Il est aussi l’interprète de tout le swing made in Italy. Il se produit avec des formations de jazz traditionnel, de jazz manouche et de pop.

Diplomato in canto jazz al conservatorio di Perugia, porta avanti diversi progetti nell’ambito del jazz, swing, pop oltre al proprio progetto originale di “cantassurdautore”; con quest’ultimo scrive e canta le proprie canzoni, dai testi ironici, poetici e surreali, che vanno dal pop, alla canzone d’autore al teatro canzone utilizzando diversi stili musicali in particolare quelli della tradizione afro-americana. Il suo primo album di canzoni originali del 2016 intitolato “Lo Scapolo” ed il suo singolo “Crisi rock” del 2018 hanno fatto parlare di sé, così come i suoi concerti molto performativi. Nei suoi progetti jazz e swing interpreta principalmente i crooner italo-americani come Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Louis Prima, i cantanti di lingua francese (principalmente di origine italiana come Yves Montand), con un occhio a quei cantanti dallo stile più prettamente jazz e moderno come Chet Baker e Mark Murphy. Si esibisce con formazioni di jazz tradizionale, di jazz manouche e di pop.
